Paul M. Baars (born 1949)
A free-lance graphic designer in Amsterdam. He received his degree in design from the Royal Academy of Fine and Applied Arts in The Hague.
While working in New York City as a designer, Paul photographed in 1974 his first numbers. Since then he travelled extensively and photographed many 'streetobjects'. He now has many different series. One of them consists of a few thousand slides and photographs of numbers along the streets. Twelve of them were used as the basis for printing Art Prints (Giclées).
